A Very Special Centennial Christmas

During a very special Christmas program, Ash Creek students performed a variety of traditional Christmas carols using voice and instruments. We would like to thank volunteers Victoria Sky and Mrs. AgustinhoMas who provided accompaniment for Preschool-Kindergarten, as well as resident music artist Carrie Starr who directed the performances of the rest of the classes.

This Christmas was especially meaningful because it was the 100th Christmas celebrated at Ash Creek School. We thank Kathy Klump and Harry Reid of the Sulphur Springs Valley Historical Society who discovered the information about the school’s centennial and shared it with us. Students had a wonderful time hiking at Rustler’s Park to find our centennial Christmas tree. Students also enjoyed making ornaments as the first students at Ash Creek did, and decorating the tree and gym. We also would like to thank Mr. Martin Bartels for donating Christmas decorations and toys for our students.
