Ash Creek students showed off their acting skills during an evening of dramatic performances on October 20th to culminate a drama artist residency with Paul Fisher. The evening began with a series of short plays about the food chain performed by Preschool-second grade students. Third – fifth grade students followed with a colorful play about the Fall of the Aztec Empire. The evening ended with an informative and entertaining play from sixth – eighth grade students about a recent local event: the Horseshoe 2 Fire. All plays were the culmination of multidisciplinary study units that combined academic learning with the arts. The students did an amazing job, and each play was an original creation of each class. Thanks to Mr. Fisher, and also to Mrs. Jen Score for assisting with costumes in the third-fifth grade play.
