Jump Rope for the Heart

On March 8, 2012, Ash Creek School students participated in their school’s Jump-A-thon for the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for the Heart program. Our Jump-A-thon was the culmination of a three-week program in which students learned the science behind how the heart works and the role it plays in our bodies. Students learned how to take care of their hearts through nutrition and exercise, and also did community service by raising money for the American Heart Association. Ash Creek students and staff raised over $145. Students competed in four areas: Jump Roping, Hula Hoops, Creative Jump Roping and Creative Hula Hoops. Awards were given to first, second and third place winners.
