Operation Detour Visits Ash Creek School

On January 29th, a team of Border Patrol and Customs agents met with Ash Creek seventh and eighth grade students as part of an educational outreach effort called Operation Detour. The goal of the program is to inform students about drug trafficking businesses, which are increasingly targeting children for involvement in their activities. Students learned that getting involved in these activities often leads to jail or death. Agents Khristina Ondrejcak, Adrienna Crowley, James Cox, and Amy Gomez met with students for lunch and conversation before the educational program.
