Arts Integration Approach

Although our three-year Southeast Arizona Arts in Academic grant is now complete, we remain committed to an arts-integration approach to learning. Through the SAAA professional development program, our teachers have become skilled at collaborating with artists to create arts-integrated academic units. Teachers report that they now integrate the arts into their academic teaching independent of artist visits. A large body of research establishes that learning through the arts positively affects student achievement.
