Fast ForWord Reading Program

Ash Creek School utilizes an innovative, research-based, comprehensive, and flexible reading program called Fast ForWord. Fast ForWord was developed by Scientific Learning Corporation, based on the latest research into how children learn to read. It is a highly flexible, computer-based, multi-level program that allows us to accurately assess a student’s reading needs and tailor a program to meet those needs. Fast ForWord is particularly effective at addressing the needs of struggling readers, preventing reading failure. All readers move at their own pace through the program, with more proficient readers able to move as needed above grade level to remain challenged.
